Generative AI has rapidly gained attention in the business world over the past several years as organizations explore its potential through initiatives such as streamlining operations and enhancing customer experience. However, despite its promise, adoption rates remain low. Some estimates place generative AI initiatives tied to specific objectives at only 15% of organizations, and actual implementation rates at only 5%. Key barriers include scaling solutions, mitigating risks such as hallucinations, and aligning AI outputs with real-world business needs.
In this session, Dean Abbot will discuss how Appriss Retail works with clients to overcome these barriers, bridging the gap between generative AI’s potential and its practical application. Strategies that leverage strengths and avoid common pitfalls will be illustrated with two specific examples from current implementations, and Abbot will show how these these strategies can be applied to applications in other industries.
