    Register and join your peers at the TDWI Vancouver Chapter on Friday May 11th, for two (2) leading edge  presentations – one by Cloudera on what is new in Hadoop, and the other on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Cognition in BC’s Public Services.

    What’s New in the World of Hadoop?
    The world of big data has evolved quite a bit over the last 10 years. In this talk we’ll review the past, present and future of Hadoop, and then dive into the open source frameworks that enable real-time processingadvanced analytics and machine learning. We’ll close the session with a discussion of what makes big data projects successful. 

    • Samir Gupta is a senior solutions engineer at Cloudera and spends his time helping organizations capture, secure and get insights out of their data using modern, open source technologies. Prior to Cloudera, Samir held senior roles at Oracle and IBM focused on data warehousing technologies.

    • Discover current examples of how the BC Public Service and the Public Sector globally are reinventing the way work gets done, and how services are provided to citizens, with new technologies and tools.
